Michelin-starred Chinese creative cuisine restaurant reopens! World-famous painting themed menu, Andy Warhol’s playful “Can Soup”

Bo Innovation, a two Michelin-starred restaurant, has recently reopened at H Code in Central. The new restaurant is decorated with an artistic style, incorporating local cultural elements. Throughout the restaurant, you can find authentic art installations such as red, white, and blue plastic bags, Lion Rock, mahjong, street food curry fish balls, dim sum, and more! The chef, Alvin Leung, draws inspiration from world-class paintings and combines Chinese cuisine with different cooking techniques to create an extraordinary 11-course tasting menu.

If you are familiar with art, you must know the Pop Art master Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Can works. The tasting menu starts with “Andy’s Soup Can,” followed by a tribute to American artist Cassius Marcellus Coolidge’s work “Dogs Playing Poker” with “Dogs Playing Mahjong” printed on special dinner plates. The dish features abalone, smoked abalone, and asparagus presented in the shape of mahjong tiles, accompanied by pea puree, umeboshi sauce, and horseradish.

The inspiration for another dish, “Fish Magic,” comes from Paul Klee’s painting of the same name, presenting every part of the steamed fish in a special gold-plated crystal box. This dish starts with a taste of halibut sashimi with Okinawa sea grapes, fish scales, anglerfish liver mousse, peppered choux pastry with sturgeon caviar, and ends with the fish bones of a nine-banded fish, from the outside to the inside of the fish body.

The main course, inspired by Dali’s works, can also be paired with a 14-day aged French duck breast, wrapped in puff pastry made with duck fat, filled with duck leg meat, chestnuts, salted egg yolk, morel mushrooms, and Job’s tears, or Australian M7 Wagyu beef with bone marrow and sweet potato tart. The entire tasting menu is full of creativity!

Address: 1/F, H Code, 45 Pottinger Street, Central
