As the early summer arrives, Hong Kong’s rare fruit-bearing Chinese fringe tree welcomes the flowering season. The branches are densely intertwined with light pink and white small flowers, forming clusters of pink flower bouquets that stretch endlessly, creating a stunning sea of flowers.

The hundred-year-old fruit of the Chinese scholar tree standing tall at the Hong Kong Murray Hotel is the only fruit of the Chinese scholar tree selected for the Hong Kong Ancient Tree Registry, making it very precious. Its light pink flowers have a high aesthetic value, and the pink color scheme is very appealing. When the wind blows, the petals flutter down like a poem or painting, making it an absolute must-visit spot for taking photos.

During the annual flower season, from now until May 31, the hotel is offering a “Flower Appreciation Journey” themed staycation and dining promotion, allowing guests to admire the graceful beauty of this century-old tree during their stay. If you want to enjoy afternoon tea while admiring the flowers, the hotel is also offering a limited edition “Ancient Tree Blossom Afternoon Tea” during the flower season, featuring spring fruits and pink ingredients, including a variety of exquisite savory and sweet treats, full of girlish charm.

Desserts include white peach tart, grapefruit jasmine choux, raspberry financiers, rose strawberry roll, and more; while savory snacks are also quite enticing, including cocktail shrimp with horseradish panna cotta, pickled beetroot salmon sandwich, cod roe tart, smoked duck sandwich, and more.

In addition, guests can also enjoy the hotel mixologist’s floral cocktails, savoring a tipsy time after appreciating the flowers.
