In recent years, the luggage brand RIMOWA, which frequently collaborates with different brands and fields, has launched a new collaboration series with the British skateboard brand Palace.
RIMOWA has previously brought heavyweight collaborations, including Dior, Fendi, Supreme, etc., which have always sparked a lot of discussion. This time, they have teamed up with the popular British skateboard brand Palace and released a promotional video recently.
The short film features Palace skateboard team members Rory Milanes and Charlie Birch, embodying Palace’s signature playful and mischievous style. It roughly depicts the two skilled skateboarders planning to meet in Tokyo, but due to Charlie missing his flight, he unexpectedly embarks on a fantastical journey, entering a whimsical dreamland. In the end, Rory walks into the same dreamland from a suitcase and they meet, embarking on the journey together.
The collaboration collection this time includes a limited edition of 500 Orginal Cabin suitcases, skateboards, and sticker sets. The suitcase features the artwork of Palace artists, hand-painted on the aluminum-magnesium alloy surface, depicting a wanderer approaching a giant chromium monument, as if being guarded by a female sand sculpture. At the same time, RIMOWA presents the effect digitally printed, making it even more vibrant.
The collection will be available for sale starting from February 11th at RIMOWA flagship stores, PALACE flagship stores, Dover Street Market London and Los Angeles, as well as on the official website Palaceskateboards.com. Interested individuals may want to keep a close eye on it.
