Disney 100th Anniversary! Givenchy x Disney collaboration debuts, with lucky rabbit Oswald as the protagonist to welcome the Year of the Rabbit.

Givenchy’s collaboration with Disney is not new, but to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary, creative director Matthew M. Williams has specially created a new limited edition collection featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, the first original character in Disney’s animated history. This collection also welcomes the upcoming Year of the Rabbit.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was created by Walt Disney himself and Ub Iwerks in 1927, and is the clever and fun predecessor to Mickey Mouse. For this Givenchy x Disney collaboration, creative director Matthew M. Williams drew inspiration from around the world, including New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Tokyo, and more, to create a “one-of-a-kind global journey” that combines Oswald’s mischievous and lively personality with the brand’s unique aesthetic.

The Givenchy x Disney collaboration series offers both men’s and women’s clothing. The designs incorporate Oswald, his girlfriend Ortensia, sweet patterns, the words “Givenchy” and “Paris,” as well as the brand’s signature 4G logo. The collection includes baseball jackets, denim clothing, T-shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants, featuring details such as cashew flower patterns, graffiti styles, and tie-dye designs. Additionally, there is a range of accessories with a humorous touch, including tennis shoes, handbags, small crossbody bags, as well as limited edition items like card holders and phone cases.

For this collaboration project, Givenchy has partnered with Walt Disney Animation Studios and renowned art director and photographer Julian Klincewicz. Madelaine Petsch, Amber Liu, and Alton Mason wear the collaborative collection and embark on an adventurous journey with Oswald, presenting a cartoon short film that blends fantasy and reality. The limited edition collection will be available on December 30th at Givenchy stores worldwide and on the official website givenchy.com.
