After more than 2 years of renovation, the flagship store of Dior 30 Montaigne on Avenue Montaigne in Paris finally reopened in early March this year. In addition to the boutique, haute couture workshop, and art gallery, there is also a highly talked-about restaurant called Le Restaurant Monsieur Dior.

As is well known, Mr. Dior, in addition to being skilled in the fashion industry, is also passionate about food and considers himself a “foodie.” Many of his works are inspired by food, such as Caramel, Chantilly, Pain d’épices, and Bonbon. He believes that cooking is actually similar to fine tailored clothing, requiring meticulous attention to detail and skill. Not only does the food need to taste delicious, but the presentation must also be exquisite, providing a dual enjoyment for both the taste buds and the eyes. The birth of Le Restaurant Monsieur Dior is a result of this philosophy.

The restaurant is run by chef Jean Imbert, who, together with partner Antony Clémot, draws inspiration from the brand’s tradition and history, with each dish embodying delicacy and elegance; the signature dishes come from Mr. Dior’s favorite recipe book “La Cuisine cousu-main,” allowing customers to experience the soul and essence of Dior.

In addition, the restaurant’s layout is equally stunning, showcasing a series of original artworks, such as René Bouché’s oil painting “Christian Dior à Table” paying tribute to the fashion house, Guy Limone’s paintings, and Claudia Wieser’s mirrors composed of geometric patterns. In terms of decoration, from the wooden parquet floors, elegant wall lamps, herringbone patterned chairs, and DIOR Maison tableware, all exude a comfortable and elegant atmosphere.
