Among them, Lin Xiangkun’s glamorous and sexy girls and Gan Xiaowen’s “Fei Po Si” and “Shao Ya Zhen” are definitely the classic Hong Kong comic characters in everyone’s minds. This time, the “Double Happiness” joint project connects these two comic artists, showcasing their new works featuring the same characters but with different art styles!
“Double Happiness” is a collaborative project that Lin Xiangkun and Gan Xiaowen have been preparing for a year. It signifies the double joy brought by their collaborative works and also celebrates the establishment of Lin Xiangkun’s own brand, “WHAT FOR…!?” by hosting the first brand exhibition called “Double Happiness”. In addition, the two have compiled their years of collaboration into a book, releasing the new book “Double Happiness” to bring even more joy to their fans!
The sexy girls depicted by Lin Xiangkun have always been a hot topic. Gan Xiaowen’s artistic style is known for being popular, funny, and absurd. This exhibition will blend the two distinct styles harmoniously, showcasing unique creativity and humor, as a tribute to each other’s design and creative concepts, and creating new works.
The classic Hong Kong comic characters “Fat Po Si”, “Braces Jane”, and “Long Stick” are transformed into glamorous young girls in sexy outfits, highlighting their unique characteristics and adding a playful and humorous touch. They make their first appearance in this illustration exhibition. The two artists have also collaborated to create brand new illustrations specifically for Master Qi Xianyu, and fans are sure to want to see the new works in person at the exhibition.
In addition to showcasing their new artwork, the venue also offers a variety of special merchandise, including exclusive figurines of “Double Happiness,” a playful design t-shirt series, special edition red envelopes, and a collaborative illustrated book of “Double Happiness.” Fans should not miss out on these!
