Visualize your thoughts! New media artist Mo Ben exhibits blockchain art designed by brain neurons!

Can intangible brain thoughts be transformed into tangible artworks through technology? The Osage Art Foundation recently announced the official opening of HKACT! Acts 11-13, with the most eye-catching being new media artist Maurice Benayoun showcasing his blockchain art piece “Value of Values” based on brainwave design!

Mo Ben believes that abstract concepts exist in the human brain. And human values such as love, power, peace, knowledge, etc. belong to the abstract concepts of human beings. If artistic creation can give these abstract values form, we should also be able to directly shape human values through our brains and control their forms with our thoughts.

Starting from this mindset, artists interact with AI through neural design, generating images, and thereby creating a unique piece of art. (Click here to join the artist guided tour)

HKACT! Act 12 VoV: HKRUNWAY is a cross-disciplinary fashion show. 20 fashion designers from the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) were invited to create through VoV’s neural design process. Immersed in a virtual reality (VR) environment, the audience experiences 3D clothing captured through photogrammetry. The VoV series combines VR, fashion models, live sculptures, dance, and transactional poetry, allowing the audience to seamlessly shuttle between reality and virtuality, experiencing a different kind of fashion performance!

HKACT! Act 13 Symposium is a full-day seminar with the theme of “The Multiple Futures of Art and Technology,” focusing on the exploration of art, philosophy, and technology. The symposium has invited nine speakers from Europe, the Americas, and Asia, including scholars and artists. (Click here to register for the Act 13 Symposium)
