In this chilling month, Whatever. Coffee collaborates with local art group “Porky’s Nest” to launch the “Superstition” exhibition, featuring the “Hong Kong Ghost Stories” series, creatively interpreting Hong Kong’s ghost legends in a humorous and light-hearted way, challenging traditional superstitions in July to lift everyone’s spirits.

“Tun Nuk Wo Tip” is formed by post-80s advertising professionals Nicky Sun and Cathy Lau. They met during their university years, both deeply influenced by Japanese anime culture and with a strong interest in the occult, which made them hit it off instantly. After more than 10 years of discussion, “Tun Nuk Wo Tip” decided to create “Hong Kong Ghost Stories” based on the Hong Kong version of “Yokai Encyclopedia,” using food, shopping, and sticker media as a medium.

This series collects different supernatural stories from various districts, vividly depicting ghostly characters, and in a playful way, records a comprehensive guide to monsters that belong to the people of Hong Kong.

Including the Ocean Park cable car ghost living in the buried ghost cable car, spending time with visitors. The Lu Ting Fishman is the defeated Lu Xun army, learned the unique skill of turning into a fishman, exchanging fish for live chickens. The Donghua Yizhuang zombie woke up in Yizhuang and was immediately locked up and sealed by a Taoist priest.

To celebrate the ghosts’ brave adventure in Sham Shui Po this time, “Pork Nest Sticker” specially created Sham Shui Po serial killer designer toys for Whatever. Coffee. In addition to the original milk color, the Sham Shui Po serial killer also has a limited edition coffee color, adding a sugar-coated packaging to the scene of taking the elevator nervously! Wise husbands and wives are most afraid of washing dishes until their souls are lost. The dishwashing designer toy has hands and feet so you don’t have to worry, even if it can’t guide you, it can still make you laugh.

The remaining non-sale exhibits also include a one-meter-long Ouija paper, artistic installations of the Fox Fairy and No. 7 Haunted House in “Hong Kong Ghost Stories”, very ghostly! If you consider yourself bold and unafraid of ghostly topics, and are interested in learning more about local urban legends, why not visit the exhibition in person!
