Syan MC’s “Kowloon Power” Second Creation Art Exhibition

Curated by Professor Hsu Ka-kin, “Kowloon Kingpin” is the first art exhibition about the “Kowloon Emperor phenomenon,” created by urban art and hip-hop music pioneer and street graffiti artist Syan (MC Yan). The exhibition showcases 10 pieces of artwork by MC Yan, using graffiti calligraphy of “Kowloon Emperor” Tsang Chiu-chi and Hong Kong identity cards as materials for his secondary creations, in response to the “pumping” culture.

“The Kowloon Strong Pull” art exhibition is another masterpiece by Syan and Professor Xu, following this year’s April Fool’s Day release of the theme of “Kowloon Emperor” identity card, with a total of 7,482,000 free NFT “Thank you, Kowloon Emperor”.

David Kaye’s “Eyes Wide Shut” Oil Painting Exhibition

British artist David Kaye grew up in the golden age of cartoons and comics, and later joined the British Army, stationed in Afghanistan. During his military service, he rediscovered his passion for painting, using objects from magazines he encountered as inspiration for his artwork, incorporating cartoon elements and personal style from his childhood drawings into his sketches.

After David completed his military service, he found that painting helped him overcome the trauma and shadows brought by being a soldier, bringing unprecedented peace. Later, he self-taught and began painting portraits, and eventually even his daughter’s innocent strokes influenced his style. Through “Eyes Wide Shut,” David hopes that the audience can embrace their inner child once again, seeing the world through the eyes of a ten-year-old, adding vibrant colors to the mundane everyday life, and embarking on a fantastic journey of imagination.

Haus of Contemporary is a one-stop art center that is avant-garde in style, breaking the boundaries of art and taste in lifestyle. In addition to regularly changing exhibitions, there is also Cafe Zendo on site, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the exhibition while sipping coffee, listening to music, and spending a leisurely afternoon!

Location: 9 Arbuthnot Road, Central, Hong Kong
