Contemporary popular artist Daniel Arsham excels in using erosion techniques to give his works the appearance of being marked by the passage of time, earning him the title of “future archaeologist.” His creations also incorporate futuristic elements, showcasing a surrealistic facade.

His previous “Pokémon” series sculptures were very popular. Recently, he once again chose the original “Squirtle” from the three starter Pokémon as the blueprint to create a new sculpture called “CRYSTALIZED SQUIRTLE”, with a limited global release of 500 pieces!

The series that collaborates with Pokémon has always been known for combining futuristic visuals, depicting what the Pokémon would look like if they were excavated a thousand years later. Following the release of the “Charmander” sculpture last year, Daniel pays tribute to another popular Pokémon, “Squirtle,” this time. He continues to use his signature weathering technique, intentionally portraying the head, body, and tail of “Squirtle” in a damaged state, allowing buyers to feel like archaeologists unearthing “historical artifacts.”

This “Cherry Turtle” is made of resin, 30 cm tall, weighs 6.9 kg, and is perfect for fans to collect. The sculpture was launched on Daniel Arsham’s official website at 12:00 pm on July 29th, US time, and quickly sold out. It is believed that the artist will continue to release other styles of little elf sculptures, so fans should stay tuned!
