Ed Sheeran’s Asian tour exhibition makes a stunning appearance at the Grand Hall! Bringing a colorful visual experience with a butterfly theme!

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who is popular, took a temporary break from the music scene for over a year. In late October, he released his latest symbol series album “=,” and launched the “Visiting Butterflies” light and shadow touring exhibition. Hong Kong, as the first exhibition location in Asia, will bring the audience a colorful visual experience at Tai Kwun!

In order to correspond with the album cover and song content, the exhibition will also focus on butterflies. The album cover features an abstract painting created by Ed as the background, with colorful butterflies collaged on top symbolizing the theme of “new life.” This projection art is a visual interpretation of the music, reinterpreting the experiences and stories within. Butterflies are a key artistic element in the new album “=,” with each song in the album represented by a different butterfly.

“=》The 4th work from his ‘Symbols’ series, this album meticulously captures his daily life and intimate inner thoughts, allowing everyone to feel his seemingly ordinary yet very precious life experiences. “=》Featuring creations from the 4 years since the release of “÷”, Ed expresses his insights on different topics, including varying degrees of “love” (〈The Joker And The Queen〉, 〈First Times〉, 〈2step〉), “loss” (〈Visiting Hours〉), “adaptability” (〈Can’t Stop The Rain〉), “paternal love” (〈Sandman〉, 〈Leave Your Life〉), and the reality and professional life he is in (〈Tides〉).

In terms of music, “=》showcases Ed’s diverse musicality, from his globally popular iconic guitar ballads to the catchy summer comeback track “Bad Habit,” demonstrating a rich musical style. The album was created and recorded in locations such as Suffolk, London, Sweden, and Los Angeles, with Ed himself and Johnny McDaid serving as co-producers. Ed also invited composer brother Matthew to participate in this album, arranging “First Times” and “The Joker And The Queen,” making it a truly sincere work!

Since Ed’s return in June this year, his songs have consistently topped the global charts, with “Bad Habits” and “Shivers” reigning as the UK singles chart champions for 15 weeks. The success of his new singles has made him the first British artist to hold the top spot on the UK singles chart for 52 weeks, second only to Elvis Presley and The Beatles. This exhibition is a crucial part of Ed Sheeran’s new album “=” release, and after completing its first stop in Hong Kong, it will be showcased in various locations across Asia. The exhibition will only be open for 6 days and will project images only after dark, so seize the opportunity to come and take photos!
