The Marc Jacobs unveils a new chapter with twins! The Marc Jacobs’ new sub-line takes everyone on a journey to relive the classics.

by

After the closure of Marc Jacobs’ subline Marc by Marc Jacobs, people have been eagerly anticipating its return. Recently, the brand finally announced the launch of a new subline, The Marc Jacobs, providing fashion enthusiasts with another affordable and practical option. The Marc Jacobs even created an Instagram account under the brand name, featuring promotional photoshoots with amateur twin models.

The Marc Jacobs collection of clothing brings back the taste of the past, such as the Ha Ha Sweater designed for Sketchbook in 1981 and the straight-leg jeans from Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2001 collection. All of these have become the inspiration for this new sub-line, resulting in designs like The Grunge Sweater, The Victorian Blouse, The Prairie Skirt, and more. Careful observation reveals that each product name starts with “The,” with the purpose of expressing their uniqueness. They are independent and special entities that allow you to mix and match freely.

The Marc Jacobs intentionally invited amateur twins to shoot promotional photos, interpreting the new products in a way that feels more relatable across different genders, races, and ages; and WWD has created a special feature for The Marc Jacobs’ release, aiming to tell you that this new sub-line is about to write a new chapter in the fashion world.
